Parental involvement

Before they are admitted the children are invited, along with their parents, to spend a short session in school. In an informal atmosphere they meet their prospective teacher and, at the same time, they have an opportunity to make new friends ready for the following term.
 
We have a lively Parent/Toddler group. This group meets each week in the Adswood Youth Club and is a great help in preparing the children for school.
 
Adswood Nursery is housed in the new Sure Start building and close links are maintained between the two schools.
 
Parents are welcome in school.Each class has a parent representative and there is a newly formed Parent Council.Your help will be appreciated and you will certainly get to know more about Adswood School, so do not hide your light under a bushel – come and join in!
 
We aim to provide the best possible service to the children and their parents and parents are encouraged to come into school to talk about any concerns that they may have over their child’s progress.
 
Copies of the Governors Annual Report to parents are available on request from the school office.
